Overview
BSchoolForTheBlock sells services, like Shopify builds, Site Management, and the BSchool Engine, and products, like music, merch, digital downloads, event tickets, bundles, livestreams, virtual sessions, and bookings. Returns and exchanges apply to products. Cancellations and refunds for services follow the schedules below and section 7 of our Terms of Service.
Products
Returns
30-day returns on shipped products. You have 30 days from the date of purchase to request a return and refund on any product we ship.
Return eligibility depends on the items in your order. Where returns are accepted, items must be returned in the same condition they were received, unworn or unused, with tags, and in their original packaging or as otherwise indicated in the return instructions. We may reduce your refund if the item has been used, damaged, or handled more than necessary. Contact us to ask about return options and how to start a return.
How to start a return
Contact us before returning an item. Whether return or cancellation requests are accepted depends on the terms in this policy and your rights under applicable law. Unless we state otherwise or applicable law requires otherwise, you are responsible for return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order when you receive it and contact us immediately if an item is defective or damaged, or if you received the wrong item.
Exceptions and non-returnable items
The following products can't be returned or refunded:
-
Digital downloads
-
Event tickets
-
Livestreams
-
Virtual sessions
-
Bookings
This does not change the cancellation and refund schedules for BSchool services below.
Some items may not be eligible for return, as stated in the return terms above or on the product listing, website, or in-store at the time of purchase. Contact us if you have questions about whether a specific item can be returned.
Exchanges
Contact us to ask about exchange options before returning your item.
Services: how to cancel

Subscriptions (Site Management, Engine Monthly, and Engine 1-Year Renewal): cancel in your customer account on our store, or email us.
-
One-time purchases (Custom Shopify Build and Engine Full Cycle): email us at mgmt@BSchoolForTheBlock.com.
Refund windows count from the date you cancel in your account or the date we receive your email, whichever comes first.
Services: refund schedules
Custom Shopify Build
Counted from your intake session. If you cancel after paying but before your intake session, it counts as week 1.
|
When you cancel |

What happens next |
|---|---|---|
|
Week 1 |
90% |
Work stops and the agreement ends |
|
Week 2 |
50% |

|
Week 3 or later |

Site Management and Engine Monthly
Counted from your billing date, which is the day of the month you signed up.
|
When you cancel |
Refund of that month's payment |
What happens next |
|---|---|---|
|
Week 1 of the billing cycle |
90% |
Your plan ends, with no further charges |
|
Week 2 of the billing cycle |
50% |
Your plan ends, with no further charges |
|
After week 2 |
No refund |
You are charged for one more month, all services for that month are completed, and then the plan is cancelled |
Why the 2-week window. Work made in one month is delivered the following month. For example, if you signed up on the 1st, your billing date is the 1st of each month, and you have until the 14th to cancel without being charged for the next month. After the 14th, next month's work is already in progress, so the next month's payment covers those deliverables.
Engine Full Cycle
Counted from the start of your cycle.

Engine 1-Year Renewal
The refund window applies only to your first quarter, counted from your first payment's billing date.
|
When you cancel |
Refund of your first quarter's payment |
What happens next |
|---|---|---|
|
Week 1 of your first quarter |
90% |
Your plan ends, with no further charges |
|
Week 2 of your first quarter |
50% |
Your plan ends, with no further charges |
|
After week 2 of your first quarter |
No refund |
The Renewal is a binding 12-month contract. The remaining quarterly payments are owed even if you cancel, and work continues through the end of your term |
Unpaid quarterly payments are collected the same way as final month payments: charged to your payment method on file, then by private payment link, and then through collections if attempts to settle are not successful.
Rules for every refund
-
Work stops once a refund is given.
-
Work already completed stays billable.
-
The Discovery Call is free, so there is nothing to refund.
-
For monthly plans, we suggest at least 3 months for best results. If you cancel before 3 months, BSchool is not liable for any unmet deliverables or results.
Final month payments
If you cancel a subscription after the first 2 weeks of a billing cycle, you still owe the final month, even if cancelling in your account stopped the automatic charge. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize BSchool to charge that amount to the payment method on file. If the charge can't be made, BSchool will send you a private payment link for the balance, and once it is paid, your account is settled. If the balance is still unpaid after attempts to settle it, BSchool may pursue any unpaid amounts through collections, as permitted by law.
How refunds are paid
For products, we will notify you after we receive and inspect your return and let you know whether the refund was approved. For services, we will email you once your cancellation is received to confirm whether a refund is due and how much. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method, unless otherwise stated. Your bank or payment provider may need additional time to process and post the refund.
If you do not see your refund within a reasonable period of time after it was approved, contact us.
Problems with your service
If something we delivered is not what your service agreement describes, contact us as soon as you notice so we can review it.
Your rights
This policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws, including rights that may apply if goods are defective, a product or service is not as described, not delivered within the agreed timeframe, or otherwise does not comply with applicable law.
